Biography
Gary H. Larsen is a native Floridian who received his BA from Florida State University in 1975, his JD from Stetson University in 1978, and a Diplome de Droit Compare from the University of Strasbourg the same year. A former Assistant State Attorney, he joined the firm in 1983. Mr. Larsen is an AV rated Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and Past President of the Sarasota County Bar Association. Mr. Larsen is a frequent speaker on the subject of mediation and the law.
Gary H. Larsen has been awarded the prestigious AV Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell. An AV® certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment; a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. Mr. Larsen has been designated as a Super Lawyer from 2014-2024 for the practice area of Alternative Dispute Resolution, one of only 40 attorneys in the State of Florida to obtain such designation.
After years of successful trial practice, Mr. Larsen now focuses his practice on serving the public and clients as a Circuit Court Mediator throughout the state of Florida.
In 2017, Mr. Larsen was asked to appear as a guest on Law & Sarasota. This local TV show discussed the benefits and differences between Mediation and Arbitration.
