Biography
Ralph L. Marchbank, Jr., a lifelong resident of Sarasota, received his J.D. from the University of Florida in 1980 and was admitted to The Florida Bar that year. He became an Assistant State Attorney in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit in 1980 and served as Felony Division Chief from 1982 until he joined the firm in 1984. He is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and is a 25 year Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer.
Mr. Marchbank is a Past President of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (past Florida Bar Representative); The International Association of Defense Counsel; the Defense Research Institute; the American Bar Association; past Master of the Sarasota County Chapter of The American Inns of Court; and other professional organizations.
Mr. Marchbank’s practice areas include Medical Negligence and Professional Malpractice defense; Products Liability; Auto and Trucking Liability; Premise Liability; and Insurance Coverage Litigation. He has tried over 100 jury trials including the trial of professional liability (medical and legal); products liability, premise liability; automotive liability, trucking liability; and general liability matters.
